Alfred the Armadillo

We have a routine! Monday, Wednesday, and Friday we go to the park and walk 2.25 miles which is four laps. Tuesday, Thursday, and whenever during the weekend we go and shoot our bows we figure its good exercise too! We have been shooting quite a bit and starting to get pretty good! We have tried shooting another way it's called back tension where you actually use your back muscles to pull the trigger however we had to lighten our trigger pull to accomplish it well after hitting myself three times in the face and this

I decided I was going back to finger shooting! Zac is still trying out the back tension thing and doind really well with it! Because we have both hit ourselves in the face we decided to get better releases that we could turn down the trigger so we could shoot better so we splurged and each got an eighty dollar release! We tried them out yesterday and Zac helped me out a lot and I was able to get my groupings a lot better.

Last week temperatures dropped down into the eightys which was amazing for what it has been. While we were out shooting I shot and missed the target so we went down to retrieve the arrow on our way back to the target we heard a loud noise off in the brush and were both a little concerned as to what was making the noise! As we got closer we found the maker of the noise!

It was this guy playing with the beer cans!

His name Alfred!

He has been kind of fun to watch he keeps appearing now and then when we go shooting! Zac practically picked him up! We don't bother him in the slightest! They don't have the best sight but I don't think this guy has the best hearing either that or just doesn't care that we are there he walks within 6 inches of us everytime we are there because we are standing on the road and that is clearly the easiest way to walk is on the road. Just so you know the kind that are in the United States are the 9 plated and the only ones that do roll in a ball is the 3 plated that live in South America!
Our bow shooting has kept us entertained from having to run from the car to under the bridge where we shoot because of the stink deer carcus on the road to chasing an armadillo we have fun!
